In order to dehumidify the large comfort cooling chillers are used and heating is supplied by 2no. 100kW boilers. Both the chillers and boilers, as well as the associated distribution pumps, are all enabled 24x7 to fulfil the required conditions in the space. The chillers are old and in poor condition, and one is currently not operational. The initial contract is for the installation of a small chiller system which is matched to the cooling load which will be more efficient and reliable, as well as being able to deliver the required CHW temperatures to achieve adequate dehumidification. The top six ranked tenders will be appointed to the Framework.
